Tom Keane is a Microsoft Technical Evangelist who has worked in IT for over 20 years. His time has been split between working as a developer and architect and as an evangelist and blogger, writing about .NET development, mobile app development, and other topics. He hosts the Developer Voice podcast with Kevin Dykstra from the MSDN show.
Tom has also been a regular on The Channel 9 Show, sharing his Windows Phone 7 app development knowledge. Tom lives in Puget Sound with his wife and family. He is a frequent presenter at user groups, conferences (including the Microsoft TechEd series), and other events. Tom Keane has written several books and is also a member of the Technology Advisory Board at Widmer University.
Here, he teaches software development courses and is an instructor for their Software Development Certificate Program. In 2006 he was awarded the Seattle .NET User Group “Most Valuable Professional (MVP)” award for his contributions to the development community.
Cloud services engineer Tom Keane from Microsoft Corp has been voted a “Top MVP” by his peers for several years and is an eight-time Microsoft MVP Award for Windows Development winner. He also won the Best App Ever award in 2012 as Best Windows Phone Developer, created several apps in the Store, co-led multiple hackathons (including one at Microsoft), and was on stage at //Build 2014, sharing Windows Phone 8.1 development tips with attendees.
