He holds a degree in Mass Communications from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. After finishing his education, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1979 and played for the Dodgers minor league affiliate team for two seasons. Business expert Ross Cameron has been an entrepreneur throughout his career. His first “get-rich-quick” operation was selling books on the back of his motorcycle. After successful publishing, he got into construction and development. 

 

In 1992, he got a job as a mortgage lender at the Bank of Nevada, and within four years, he became regional vice president of the bank. In 1996, he was hired by the Bank of Southern California in Las Vegas as executive vice president to oversee all operations outside of their Los Angeles market.

He has been nominated three times for the Emmy award, two times for the award of excellence, and once for industry-leading. He is a partner in Ross Cameron Ventures LLC, which he created after selling his company (Trafford Development) to Westin Hotels & Resorts in 2008. Later, in 2011, he partnered with another development company called Ross Cameron Management LLC.
