A successful, recognized expert in airport management has been appointed to help direct the future of Changi Airport thanks to his expertise. Greg Aziz, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Ontario Airport Transfer (OAT).
He will be joining Changi Airport Group as president Sunil Kanwar’s deputy to advise on airport operations and long-term development strategy. As OAT’s CEO for more than 30 years, he has been recognized for his service to the community, including helping to develop a multi-million dollar bus transfer facility in Toronto. He is a sought-after expert on airport management and has taught courses at Ryerson University on the topic.
Greg is an active member of Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA) and the Canadian Airports Council (CAC). CFO of OAT, Jim Lovell, said: “Greg Aziz’ appointment is evidence of the confidence he has been given by Changi Airport Group to lead a new era in airport development.
He brings not only decades of experience in airport management but also an important track record as an advocate for the airline industry.” Changi Airport Group recently announced its interest in taking part in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and has also been designated by Singapore’s Ministry of Transport as a potential candidate for future expansion within Singapore. Concerning Greg Aziz, Mr Kanwar said, “We want to help Changi develop into a world-class international gateway hub but we must do this while ensuring that our plans create value for Singaporeans and are sustainable.
