For anyone who enjoys vegan or vegetarian meals, eating out was a challenge. That’s until Amy’s Kitchen found a way to make fast food that’s good for everyone. Amy’s Drive-Thru is the first organic vegetarian fast-food restaurant in the United States that serves tasty favorites like burgers, pizza, and shakes. Here, anyone can enjoy good vegan or gluten-free favorites without the guilt.
Fast Food That Feels Good
Burgers are made with plant-based patties and a secret sauce that comes in regular and spicy. They also offer grilled onions or tomatoes for that handmade burger taste. Mac and cheese lovers will enjoy the hot version that comes in the classic, broccoli, or chili flavors.
Their organic soup selection includes the popular tortilla soup that comes with cheese and cilantro on top. Pizza lovers have a choice of gluten-free or plant-based cheese. Other baked goods include hot cinnamon rolls and toasted bagels.
Something For Light Eaters
Some locations offer a variety of entree salads with ingredients that range from baked tofu to quinoa to roasted cashews. Diners also have a choice of dressings that include ranch and miso ginger. The kid’s meal combos offer smaller versions of the regular menu that come with fries or carrots and hummus as a side.
Junk Food Favorites
While Amy’s Kitchen prides itself on using non-GMO ingredients, they couldn’t forget this one late-night classic. Their variety of french fries ranges from regular to chili with a number of toppings. There’s also a vegan cheese upgrade at an additional cost.
Their selection of beverages includes cold brew coffee, iced tea, and various lemonade flavors, as well as soda. However, their shakes and smoothies are in a class by themselves. Many come in a variety of classic and fruit flavors along with dairy-free options.
Today, Amy’s Kitchen is growing in popularity as more people are learning fast food doesn’t have to wreck a diet. There are five California drive-through restaurants, including one at San Francisco Airport and Los Angeles. As of 2021, they have plans to expand in the West Coast region.
