The Master Plan of Granderson Des Rochers, by Damien Granderson

When Blake heard that Granderson Des Rochers was looking for a partner, he immediately started looking for one. When Damien Granderson found one, he immediately pushed for another and pushed for another. One thing led to another, and Granderson Des Rochers was no longer a one-person start-up. Eight partners now run the firm. The idea that the partners worked together to make Granderson Des Rochers a household name persists today.

During the time frame of the lawsuit, the two men were partners in Koch Entertainment. When discussing the company and its activities with news organizations, they would frequently quote from a press release or summary and then tell the news organization to read the statement in its entirety. In other words, as Damien Granderson states, they were writing what people wanted to read and making it easy for readers to quote from and add their comments.

Granderson Des Rochers was one of the world’s top 20 independent entertainment companies a decade later. In the words of Blake, “We were the first big company to do business with the internet.”  With Damien Granderson, the pair became so intertwined that they used the same first name, which they use today. The first husband-wife team to break into the entertainment business, they quickly grew their company.

They achieved this by acquiring other boutique businesses around the country, successful media industry attorney Damien Granderson recalls. When the Rochers went public, it was the largest private company in New York City to ever do so. In just a few years, the team amassed over $10 billion in assets under management.

The company, which consists of about 30 offices worldwide, has since grown to include about 30 partners. In the process, the partners have made a good name among industry insiders and executives in the entertainment and media industries. In the process, Damien Granderson finally adds that the partners have made a good name among industry insiders and executives in the entertainment and media industries.
