The Potter’s House school provides a quality Christian education for students in a low income area. The DeVos’ provide scholarships that go to students whose families likely wouldn’t be able to afford the tuition at the Potter’s House without a scholarship. The DeVos’ are the schools top donors. They provided $200,000 in funding in 2015 with an additional commitment. The couple is currently the school’s largest donors.


For the DeVos family, donating funds of this magnitude is all about the positive end result they can provide for the recipient(s). Many children have been able to receive a Christian education through the scholarship program that they would not have had otherwise.


The couple is focused on reforming the education across the United States. This reformation is at the heart of everything Betsy DeVos does. Her goal is to provide more options for school choice as well as other important programs such as school vouchers. Vouchers would allow children in low income families to gain access to free or discounted school lunches.
